A Message from D'Lynne

It is easy to get caught up in the frenzy of the Holidays. Losing control and overcommitting yourself in every way can happen in a blink of an eye. How can you stop the runaway train? Put on the brakes! Think about what is really important. Think QUALITY, not QUANTITY.

First, take care of yourself. Continue the things you do for your health, well-being and positive attitude. Don't skip workouts, meals or downtime if you are pressed for time, shorten your workouts, but don't miss them. Consistent exercise and eating well will help you maintain a positive mindset, maximizing your ability to deal with stressful situations.

Second, evaluate your Holiday schedule. Are you traveling? Having the entire family over for dinner? Writing cards? Baking? Buying gifts? Holiday parties - going or giving? The list is long and can become overwhelming. But there are ways to accomplish your Holiday responsibilities effectively and on time! Proper organization can ABSOLUTELY save you from the Holiday blues. Map out the entire month and designate a time and date for each of your endeavors. Allocating enough time for each project, being reasonable with your expectations, and starting early are all necessary in order to complete your tasks. Waiting to the last minute, with high expectations and no plan will lead you to STRESS and mission not accomplished!

Lastly, remember the little things count the most. Overindulgence has never made anyone truly happy for very long. It usually has a fairly high price tag. Instead of buying something that has no meaning for someone, tell or write them how much they mean to you. Spend time with the people (not in the mall!) that are important to you, it's the best gift you can give. Be kind to yourself and others and have a wonderful, happy and healthy Holiday.

Until next month, in health and happiness,
D'Lynne
It's a holly, jolly....aaaaahhhhh! The HOLIDAYS. Too much to do, not enough time to do it. No time for exercise, healthy eating, self, rest. Too much spending, stress, junk food and nog! What's a body to do?
